Authenticity

Hello team, I wanted to say a big thank you to all who were able to help this weekend! We had a wildly successful weekend! We had 4 services that went awesome, and I want to thank everyone for stepping up to the plate and pitching in and doing their part. Another thank you for being flexible so Jen and I can get prophetic ministry this morning. 😊

Sunday morning, I think I started So Will I a bit too fast and it didn’t go right, so we stopped and restarted so it was right. No biggie at all, I’ve actually done that by myself on a Wednesday when I goofed on the keys. So why am I bringing this up? Because of some comments I received after service. One person said it was their favorite part of the service, and not in a poke fun way, they liked the realness of what happened. Another person (not a member of FCC) mentioned to me on Saturday that Freedom was known for being the real deal, there was no “show”. Then a third person, about 25 years old and was visiting from Orlando, spoke to me afterwords today and said he really loved this church. He said, “I really like it here, everything was awesome, and, just, so… authentic.”

This means a lot to me. About 5 years ago, I wrote something titled “The Invitation”. This was a call to go deeper with God. Here is a piece of that invitation,

“As the hearts of those serving

on the worship team become more purified, the worship itself becomes more purified.

Then you know how “they” say that today’s young people despise hypocrisy and

phoniness and that they long for authenticity (in word and action)? Well, as the worship

becomes more pure, the young people will sense the purity and authenticity of it and be

drawn to engage in it and, voilá–forward motion!”

You can read that paper again here: The Invitation

In this same note, I spoke with Dan Mohler today and told him when he gets emails from parents stating their kids, from ages 6 to 17, want to watch videos of him preaching over movies or tv shows, it is because he is authentic! There is no facade! He’s the read deal! Facade is defined as:

“Facade: An outward appearance that is maintained to conceal a less pleasant or creditable reality.”

I want to encourage all of you for being transparent and real. I also encourage you to review the video podcast from this weekend once they are posted, they are all so good.

You guys and gals are doing awesome with playing and singing songs, sure we want to be good musicians, but more than that I want people to love Jesus as well as each other, and you are all doing that very well!

Greatful,

-Jeremy

Thank you Jeremy for posting this. What an awesome weekend!
That’s exactly what I was thinking too when we met together in the foyer.. it shows we are rwal (It’s happened to me as well – just stop and start over) It is real, and God uses all things for Our good to the Glory of his name.

I wasn’t finished but my finger hit submit (doing this on my phone… small print)
I wanted to give a praise report and also to confirm that teenagers want to hear Dan’s preaching.
Cam was only able to attend this mornings service but while I was telling him goodnight and we were praying together- after prayer he said, I want to hear all of the sessions of Dan Mohler, he was so good today! I was so very excited to hear him say that!

I love His presence, it is such a honor for Him to use us to bring His presence in. Don’t you think? Cant be prideful cause its all Him, all our best talents are nothing without Him, music is noise without His anointing, but with it He can touch peoples hearts, even the hardest of hearts….that is so cool. I love it when does that.

The Lord showed me a pic of a worship service in heaven one time. Me and Judy were led to Lord by a baptist , second thing he told us is tongues is of the deval …and drums to…years latter we got filled with spirit. Praying in tongue on way to work. Saw huge mass of people far as can see, a stage with all kinds of instraments some i still no clue what they were, the coolest drums ever 2 rows of toms all of real pears clear. Got to tap on them the sound waves was the anointing and just the love of God road those waves. Everyone was like hanging out enjoying company. Bunch of people went on stage started playing and the place came unglued lol you could not be anywere near there and not enter in to worship. People that like quet worship services are going to be suprised…it was not quiet. Lord let it be on earth as it is in heaven. I didnt worry about drums being from the devel ever again

That is so good Pat! Thanks for sharing. Let the drums of warfare begin…. make me think of the song – I will not be silent, I was made to worship ….

  6. Pat Roeder says:

Opps little long sorry, just wanted to share that

  7. Good word babe, love seeing these things spoken over the years coming forth as we follow Him.

  8. Jeremy says:

That’s awesome Pat, and I agree, drums, along with all other instruments, are a good thing!
