Sunday January 13th

Hi Team. Thank you so much for those who were able to join us for practice last night. What a great time! Continue to think of those lyrics to So Will I. And if you couldn’t make it, please pull the chart and read and re read. Listen and re listen to the song. We will likely do that song on Sunday January 20th. We talked about our favorite lines from the song last night. Comment below you favorite lines (and you can comment why, if you’d like to). Let’s stir each other up today.

2.  We’re going to do a bit of spontaneous song here. The topic or theme will be a mix between being alive in the river and coming close to Jesus- freedom to come to him and the joy experienced deep inside when we do. Regardless of circumstance, it’s His joy that carries us. His joy that gives us strength.

• I’ll text these to you as well, but here are a couple scriptures you can read to help prepare for this. There is no pressure in it. When the time comes, if you have something to sing out-sing it. If you don’t, then don’t. 🙂

Psalm 46:4 (NLT) “A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High”

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. There is no law against these things!

Nehemiah 8:10 “Go and celebrate with a fest of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected or sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”

Revelation 22:1 “Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”

1 Peter 1:8-9 “You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him: and you rejoice with a glorious inexpressible joy.”

Isaiah 35:10 “Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.”

• There are lots of scriptures you can pull from. These are just to get you started.
• We’ll start in the same key as In The River (Dm) and then slow it down by transitioning to the key of G. And when we feel it’s time to move on we’ll roll into Come As Close As You Want.
