I saw this today, thought it was so good and wanted to share with all you lovely people. Written by Katie Riddle
The longer we’ve been in “ministry” (such strange terminology; every Christian is in ministry), the more I’ve come to realize this: even when we think we know everything about a situation and our opinions about something or someone feels completely justified, we actually aren’t. So stealthily does offense spread and try to take over, then we forget that this battle isn’t against flesh and blood, sides are taken, and unity is threatened. So often I have to stop in my tracks and ask, “are my words spreading peace and love, or offense and divisiveness?” Don’t “process” with people who carry the same offense as you. Find those with other perspectives to help you diffuse offense, learn from them and partner with Love. It’s never impossible. Unity is too beautiful to chop down and build separate forts out of it.

Thanks, Jennifer.
Unity is beautiful. We must fight, contend for it. We are much stronger as a unit.
Good word Jennifer! Division creeps up on us so quickly! I think it’s incredibly important for each one of us(myself included) to communicate if there is something we get offended over. We have to get to know everyone better and share our hearts with one another. As we do that in love, then we can be more unified as a team.
Thanks for sharing. In all my years of ‘ministry’ this still rings true!
Good word!
