Hi team, this is Jennifer in for Jeremy 🙂 We want to encourage you to make plans and arrangements to be a part of the song writing workshop, Thursday October 8 @ 5:00 , the worship night Friday October 9 @ 7:00 with Austin Biel, and also for the worship arts event on friday October 30 @ 7:00. I believe these will be important events to equip us for what is coming in the days and weeks ahead for where the Lord is wanting to take us as a team.
Here’s a portion of some things God has been speaking to me regarding the worship team. We will be connecting, sharing more over the next few weeks. I think he’s up to something good :)!
What’s your song?
The classic worship story of Jehoshaphat tells the story of the attack coming against Judah in 2 Chronicles 20.
A quick recap:
1. He was terrified and called the people to seek the Lord with prayer and fasting .
2.They remembered how God had delivered them in the past.
3. They found out what He’s speaking for today.
4. They believed what God had said and praised him for it.
5. Victory
In December of 2014 the Lord began to stir up some things in our hearts for the worship team. As a result, we began our accountability groups as an avenue to seek purity and to connect at a deeper level as a team. I believe as we continue in this and really be open and vulnerable with each other, covenant relationships like that of Jonathan and David will grow. As we begin to share our hearts and stories the unity and freedom will overflow into the church and we will see God do some amazing things. We all have a story, it may be something small that you think might not matter, or it may be the most amazing story of God’s goodness and faithfulness, your story may not even be finished yet but He can use it! What He’s done and what He’s going to do, this is where your song will flow from, songs that will bring freedom to others.
